Sugar rim

Sugaring the rim of a cocktail glass gives the drink a frosted aspect. It's impressive if you use colored sugar. Examples of salt commonly used for a salt rim include kosher salt, sea salt, and celery salt.

In general, cocktails with citrus juices such as lime juice, lemon juice, and orange juice in composition are a good candidate for the sugar rim garnish. The easiest way to create a sugar rim is with the help of a shallow bowl and a wet-rimmed glass turned to the bow.
