Boiling water

When water is boiling, it transforms into a vapor called water vapor. The heat energy is transferred to the molecules of water, which begin to move more quickly.

The boiling occurs when atoms or molecules of a liquid can spread out enough to shift from a liquid phase to a gaseous phase, and bubbles form.

If safe bottled water is not available, one can boil the water to make it safe to drink. Boiling is the way to destroy disease-causing organisms, including viruses, bacteria, and parasites.
