Coffee beans

A coffee bean is a seed of the coffee plant and the source of coffee. Just like common cherries, the coffee fruit is named a stone fruit. Yet the coffee beans are not technically beans, they are related because they resemble true beans.

Coffee originated from Africa, a country called Ethiopia. From there, over the years, coffee beans relocated to South East Asia, Central, and South America. The origin of the coffee beans is unknown, but the legend says the goat herder Kaldi first realized the potential of these beloved beans.
