The Singapore Sling is a gin-based sling cocktail from Singapore developed sometimes before 1915. The earliest published version of the recipe appeared in "The Savoy Cocktail Book", a 1930 classic written by Harry Craddock. It was initially called the gin sling – a sling was originally a North American drink composed of spirit and water, sweetened and flavored.

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounce Gin
1 ounce Bénédictine liqueur
1/2 ounce Cherry liqueur
1 ounce Lime juice
1/4 ounce Simple syrup
2 ounce Club soda
1 garnish Orange slice
1 garnish Maraschino cherry

Instructions

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, pour the gin, Bénédictine, cherry liqueur, lime juice, and simple syrup and shake.

Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.

Top with club soda.

Garnish with a orange slice and cherry.

Serve and enjoy.
