The Tom Collins is a classic cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and carbonated water. The beverage first appeared in 1876 by Jerry Thomas, in "the father of American mixology" writing.
The refreshing cocktail tastes like a sparkling lemonade and, is full of all you need to cool down on a hot day and is very simple to make at home.
Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to a Collins glass.
Fill with ice and top with club soda.
Garnish with a lemon wheel and maraschino cherry.
